Before you begin

TypeForge uses strict mode — understand how it works:

  Type the highlighted character

  The next character glows — that's your target. Type it using the QWERTY layout.
• 🚫
  Wrong key? Nothing moves

  The cursor stays put until you type the correct character. Strict mode builds clean muscle memory.
• ✅
  Correct key = cursor advances

  Only accurate input moves you forward — speed follows naturally.
• ⌨️
  Follow the finger guide

  The hand diagram shows which finger to use for each key — essential for building correct posture.
• ⏱️
  Your clock only runs when you type

  Pauses don't count against your WPM. Stop & Finish whenever you're ready.
